Frequently Asked Questions

How does the registration process work?
Simply fill in the registration form, and upload two JPG images with your proof of address (no more than 3 months old) and photo ID (see below). You must enter a valid email address, as you will be sent a confirmation of your registration request by email with an activation link. You must click this link to activate your account. If you do not receive this e-mail in your inbox please check your junk and spam mailboxes. Once our team has checked your proof of address and photo ID (during UK working hours), they will validate your account so that you can place bids on the lots included in the auction. You will receive an e-mail once your ID has been approved and your account fully activated.
Why do I need to provide photo ID and proof of address when registering?
These are required to prevent casual visitors from registering and placing non-sincere bids on an auction, which would ruin the auction for all other bidders. Additionally, if the winning bidder doesn't complete payment or get in touch to arrange delivery of their purchase, we will be able to get in touch with them.
If you don't have a scanner, you can take a digital photo of your photo ID and recent bill.
What do I do if I don't have access to a scanner to upload my ID?
If you don't have access to a scanner you can take a photograph of your ID using a digital camera and upload it on to your computer as you would a photograph. Alternatively, you can call into Sutton Kersh's Auction department that is located at 2 Cotton Street, Liverpool, L3 7DY or visit the registration desk at the Penguin Preview Event on the 3rd and 4th February at St Georges Hall, Liverpool.
I haven't received my activation email
If you haven't received a confirmation email from us, it may have ended up in your spam or junk mail folder; please ensure that our domain "auctionyourproperty.com" is added to your safe senders/contacts list. You may also wish to contact us if you are having problems with your account.
My e-mail address has changed. Can I still log in?
Yes. Simply login with your old e-mail address. This is your username. You can then alter all your details once you are logged in by going to "My Account" and selecting the appropriate options.
I've forgotten my password
If you ever forget your password, you can click on the "Forgotten Your Password?" button. You will be emailed a new password. You can then log in and change it to something more memorable.
Are my log in details case-sensitive?
Yes. Be careful to use the same casing that you used when you first registered.
