Frequently Asked Questions
How does the registration process work?
Simply fill in the registration form, and upload two JPG images with your proof of address and photo ID (see below). You must enter a valid email address, as you will be sent a confirmation email with an activation link. You must click this link to activate your account. Finally, once our team has checked your photo ID and proof of address (during UK working hours), they will validate your account so that you can place bids on the auctions. You will receive an email once your account has been fully activated.
Why do I need to provide photo ID and proof of address when registering?
These are required to prevent casual visitors from registering and placing non-sincere bids on an auction, which would ruin the auction for all other bidders. Additionally, if the winning bidder doesn't complete payment or get in touch to arrange delivery of their purchase, we will be able to get in touch with them.
If you don't have a scanner, you can take a digital photo of your photo ID and recent bill.
I haven't received my activation email
If you haven't received a confirmation email from us, it may have ended up in your spam or junk mail folder; please ensure that our domain "auctionyourproperty.com" is added to your safe senders list. You may also wish to contact us if you are having problems with your account.
My e-mail address has changed. Can I still log in?
Yes. Simply login with your old e-mail address. This is your username. You can then alter all your details once you are logged in by going to "My Account" and selecting the appropriate options.
I've forgotten my password
If you ever forget your password, you can click on the "Forgotten Your Password?" button. You will be emailed a new password. You can then log in and change it to something more memorable.
Are my log in details case-sensitive?
Yes. Be careful to use the same casing that you used when you first registered.
